About

“I am Alejandra Reynaldos and I work as Customer Success Manager (CSM) for SLB a global technology company, who has been providing solutions to the Energy Industry for almost 100 years. In the past 15 years I have been mainly involved in the software branch of the company, helping my customers to build their representation of the subsurface to make the best possible plans on where and how to extract energy from. The last three year I have been involved more and more in Digital Transition projects, assisting my customers to transition to Cloud based solutions. Where this may sound like a pure technical challenge the biggest challenge is the adoption of the new ways of working for the teams in the new environment. In my role of CSM my task is to ensure that at the end of the day my customers understand the “”what’s in it for me”” of the change, and once that is there personal and business value can be created. On a personal side I was born in Chile, raised in the Netherlands from age 7 (in Leiden and then studied in Utrecht) and had the pleasure to start my family in the 8 years that I worked for the SLB office in Paris.
These rich experiences have taught me the superpower of being a multi-cultural, multi-language, multi-faceted individual ( who is a “”beta”” and also loves dance, cinema, cooking, Sci-Fi) and it something I am encouraging my daughter of 9 and son of 6 to explore every day. Live is too short to have anyone put you in a “”category”” !”

What or Who inspired you to pursue your chosen career?

I grew up in a family where asking questions, curiosity was encouraged and hence it was not a surprise that I was interested in science, my favorite museum being the Santiago Natural History Museum. Add to that that I personally witnessed the 8,5 magnitude earthquake of 1985 in Chile, loved rocks am terrible at choosing just to focus on one thing and that Jurassic Park came out when I was eleven years old and the choice of studying geosciences was not that far fetched. Did the 19 year old Alejandra think she would work in the Energy Industry when I started studying? Absolutely not. But the fact that it happened and that I still am here is because Energy Professionals are a group of very smart, intelligent creative and fun people to work with, who all want to solve the same puzzle: how can we have a balanced future and what technology will we need for that!
