Throughout my career, I have been involved in a variety of startups, serving in diverse capacities and working on projects of varying sizes and areas of focus. Why do you think is important that Role Models need to be visible?
“Stereotypes and biases can serve as a shortcut for understanding new ideas, individuals, and cultures. However, if individuals become rigid in their thinking, close-minded, and do not show respect for others, these biases can result in discrimination and even violence.
To prevent this, it’s important to continuously expose ourselves to new and diverse perspectives. Showcasing different role models reinforces the message that all individuals are unique but equal, including the audience.”
