Deloitte
Technological developments drive innovation. The technology sector is changing at lightning speed. There has never been a better time to work in the world’s most fascinating, fastest-growing industry. Throughout these rapid developments, it is essential to remain mindful of diversity in the technology sector and STEM fields. Technology plays an ever-increasing role in our daily lives, so the teams responsible for these developments must constantly change and adapt. This is necessary to avoid getting held back in familiar pitfalls from an ethical perspective.
At Deloitte, we believe that the tech sector can benefit from a variety of perspectives. Each of us contributes to innovation and technology delivery in our own way; through our personality, passion and expertise. To continue growing such wealth of talent, we continually invest in our Women in Tech to support our people and inspire the next generation of tech experts.
A few decades ago, women were at the forefront of technology and research: the world’s first computer programmer, the inventor of the first language-based computer program and the creator of STP (Straight Through Processing).
Nowadays, fewer women are choosing a study in tech or end up not entering the sector after graduation. This is unfortunate because the tech sector plays a significant role in shaping the future of our world. A future we will all share. Technology has no gender; it needs many individual and diverse voices.
At Deloitte, it is our collective responsibility to inspire more people, especially more women, to solve tomorrow’s problems through science and creativity of technology. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion that ensures equal opportunity for all our colleagues to be their true authentic selves and thrive, develop and succeed based on their individual talents.

Manager Regulatory Risk at Deloitte
About
“I started my career at Deloitte when I was still a working student. Currently, I am a Manager within the Regulatory Risk team, focusing on the Financial Services Industry (FSI) – more specifically, on the Banking Industry. My primary focus is on innovations and (digital) transformation, and the Regulatory and Compliance issues involved.“
What or Who inspired you to pursue your chosen career?
“The Financial Services Industry has been going through several changes in the last decade. The accountability of financial institutions, as well as their role in society, have increased in importance. To keep the financial sector safe and responsible, new laws and regulations have been introduced, for instance in the field of money laundering and terrorist financing, and financial consumer health. Part of the expertise of the Regulatory Risk team is our in-depth knowledge of these laws and regulations. We aim to apply them in such a way that the industry is enabled to innovate and develop a trusted relationship with consumers. This can be challenging.”
